Savannah, GA

I recently took a long over due GIRLS Trip to Savannah, GA with one of my besties, Jenn, and her sister Julie.  Julie flew in from New Orleans, and I flew in from Houston.  Jenn decided to drive up from Orlando since it was only about 5 hours from her house.

After brunch on Friday morning, we decided the best thing was to do the Trolly Car Tour, and it was so worth it.  Plus our vendor hooked us up and extended our passes for the entire time we were in Savannah.  We figured we would take the tour once and that way we knew where we wanted to spend most of our time.

The City of Savannah reminded us a lot of New Orleans, except cleaner!  There was so much to see, so much history,  it was a little overwhelming.

Again, very steep steps.  They close these off during St. Patrick's Day.

We even got to eat at the famous The Lady and Sons. We had some fried okra to start us off...not that we needed it, but it sure was good.  And we each got the buffet.  I figured that was the best way to really get a sense of Mrs. Paula Deen's cooking.  I must say it probably was some of the best I have had.  Lord only knows how much butter I consumed on that plate.

I had a wonderful time with  my girls and looking back at my camera, I surely didn't take nearly enough pictures.  We shared some great stories and plenty of laughs.  I can't wait to do it again.

Madison is 3 1/2!

On February 11th, 2012, Madison turned 3 1/2!  I can't believe how much time has flown by.  She is such a big girl now!  I saw this precious idea on pinterest and thought I would do the same, via the blog of course.  Then one day I can print all of her special entreies.  And since I didn't do 3 yrs old...I am going to do 3 1/2!

Facts of your life

• You go to bed around 8 pm and wake up around 6 am.
• You are just now starting to sleep through the night again, by yourself.  You are a great sleeper, but you don't like to be alone these days.
• You weigh 42 lbs and wear a size 5T or 5.
• You are so excited when Ryan wakes up...you can't wait to give her good morning kisses and hugs.
• You are addicted to apple juice and strawberry milk.
• Your imagination is incredible.  You love to pretend and dress up as a princess and dance with a prince.  I remember one day in the car you stated you wanted to grow up and have a boy come for you, but he better know how to dance!!
• It amazes me the things you learn and how quickly you learn them.  We can read you a book once, and you can recite it back to us.  Your memory is AWESOME!
• You keep me and dad laughing with your sayings and knock knock jokes.  
• You want to have a puppy and a kitty, but dad says you can't have a puppy until you are 5 and this family doesn't do "CATS!"  That made you a little upset.

Madison, we love you more than you can imagine.  As your personality develops more and more, you amaze us at your witty sayings and clever "deals."  We can't wait to see what the next year has in store.

10 MONTHS OLD!!

Since you didn't have a check up this month...I'm only guessing.
Weight: about 22 lbs
Height: ?

• Size 3 diaper
• You wear size 12 month dresses and size 18-24 month shirts and pants.  They are a little long on you, but you need it in the waist.
• You are eating ALOT!  You have a bottle about every 3 - 4 hours and 1 cup of juice a day.  You love apple juice and like to drink it out of Madison's cup not yours.  I have tried to give you grape juice, orange juice, etc. but you like apple the best, of course.  So far you will eat any food that we put in front of you.  You especially love bread.  You are a HURST for sure!
• You go to sleep around 6:30 pm and wake up around 6 am.  You are a wonderful sleeper.  You only have problems when you have cut teeth or aren't feeling good.
• You are crawling so fast around the house and you try to sneak past the gate to go upstairs.  You have accomplished that only once, with supervision of course.  You will stand up and balance for quite a while, but you only take no more than 2 steps and fall back down.  You will be walking soon enough.
• You have 3 teeth now, two on bottom and one on top.
• You love when Madison is around, she makes you smile and laugh.  It is so precious.

A Beautiful Baptism

It's hard to believe that our baby is 10 months old already.  Ryan had a BEAUTIFUL baptism on February 25, 2012, which was her 10 month birthday!!  We were blessed to have her Godmother, Melissa Mediamolle, and my Parents, Chuck & Tyann, present for the special occasion.  Unfortunately the Godfather, Jordan Knopf was unable to make it, but we certainly felt him in Spirit as we did the rest of our dear family.  It was a day that will never be forgotten

Ryan did great during her baptism.  She was probably the loudest baby, and I mean that it a loving way. She only cried when it was time to sprinkle the water over her head.  Other than that she was full of laughter and all of those wonderful baby sounds that make her mommy love her.
